Buying Weathered New Model Trains

Today’s model railways are getting more and more realistic, and are becoming more and more faithful to the reality in which they are modeled. Often when you start your railway modeling hobby, it is only natural to want to have a bright shiny layout, with everything looking entirely in order and as clean as a whistle (pun intended). But when you stop to think about it, how lifelike is that? In the real world, time and tide wait for no man, and things get used, and become worn and weathered. Well nowadays, you can replicate this worn and weathered effect in your models too. There are companies that have set themselves up especially to weather your trains o scale and your rolling stock for you, or you can buy them brand new, but weathered from the outset. It just goes to show you that modelers will stop at nothing to get realism into their layouts.
